WHPC staff collects food items and cash for The River Food Pantry
WHPC recently had a fun competition between office floors to see who could collect the most donations. Over 1,800 pounds of non-perishable food items and $2,362 in cash were collected. WHPC’s Asset Management team also spent the day at The River Food Pantry preparing meals, bagging up groceries, putting together grocery list items and helping to load them into cars.
About Dane County’s River Food Pantry
The River Food Pantry is Dane County’s busiest food pantry. Services include:
- free groceries for pickup or delivery;
- to-go meals;
- online grocery orders;
- mobile meals;
- after-hours food lockers.
The River Food Pantry also recovers food and resources—that would otherwise go to waste—from local retailers. Since 2006, The River Food Pantry has grown to serve over 4,000 people every week in pursuit of its vision: a fully nourished community.
